I will say this once again and until my dick shrivels up, New Power Soul is a good album, and all the hatin on this disk is really uncalled for.

Shoo Bed Ooh is a standout track. Nice bubbly keyboards, weird sounds, the kind of thing we like about his jams. Things jump out into your ears. The chorus is really good, like the way the bubbly keyboards work around it. The keyboard symphony sounds ad a bit of moxey. The song is no masterpiece, but it is one song I go back to many times.

The lyrics suck, but they have for years.

i like it until the chorus kicks in. i feel like he didnt know what else to put there so he sang shoo bed ooh. kinda like silly game and tacked-on keyboard refrain. i think the words and melody and production are nice tho

Yeah, I think this and 'When U Love Somebody' are both underrated.

NPS gets a bad rap, but there's half a dozen good tracks on it, which ranks it higher than Rave, Musicology and 3121 in my book.

The whole album is underrated. It's enjoyable, even if most of it isn't groundbreaking.

Shoobedooh is good. It makes me laugh. I think it's because it seems serious and frivolous at the same time.

I really like NPS, it seems the Larry Graham and Doug E Fresh ties of the moment hurt the album somewhat. Same with the use of crowd chants.

Yeah, "Push it Up." Love Larry in this song.

I love this Cd! I have it in my player right now! I am in between that cd and emmancipation since for like 3 months -since I risked my life trying to find what was left in my home since we abandended it 7 years ago. They just bring back memories I had back then.

Yeah, I really dig this track. It's a very smart arrangement. I love the way he adds the extra harmony on the last chorus and the way the bass line always comes in on the second quaver of each bar (or 'measure' for you Americans!). Also the interplay between the synths and the vocals is cool (the bubbly keyboard thing)

Not underrated.....(apart from the fun title) dreadful and depressing lyrics.
