It was a bit weird. Not a very funny bit (but I absolutely despise the Treehouse of Horror episodes anyway). They gave Prince a Michael Jackson-like voice. And I didn't get the seed joke (did I miss something?). | |

any way, here are my comments cuz my thread didn't quite get made fast enough. I was literally screaming at the TV when Homer skewered him with his own guitar    
but when they got their revenge, I was cheering. Though I think I missed something. How does Homer get salvation in end for killing off music itself? 
I didn't like the Michael Jackson-ish voice they gave him

That was such a pissy rendition of Prince. If it wasn't for the gold symbol guitar, I'd never known it was him. The cartoon looked like Rick James to me!
 It was all wrong. They keep drawing Prince like it's 1984 and like he just rolled out of a tanning bed. He doesn't do the ruffled blouses anymore and he's not quite that dark. LOL. If you're gonna draw Prince, dammit, do it RIGHT!I love a Man who:

The scariest thing I've seen this entire Halloween weekend is Dreamy calling John Wayne "an unknown celebrity".

My dad sent me an email telling me about seeing this and he knew it was John Wayne of course my folks will dog me into seeing a couple of his movies cuz I dont know who he ishad 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

Also, the voice! I'm getting tired of people who don't know the difference 'tween Prince and Michael Jackson! BUT... I think P deserved this for his treatment of fans on the internet - I thought they could've gone further with it, between him and the 'Web Sheriff'!  |

I saw this last night and laughed my ass off.
Folks... it's the Simpsons.  It was funny that in this day and age, Prince is being portrayed at all! He's been around, y'all.
When Homer started killing him, me and the kids were screaming with laughter that he used his own  guitar!!!
Anyway... kudos to The Simpsons for yet another hilarious show! |

moderatorI was so mad Homer killed Prince that I got up and went into the kitchen claiming to never watch the Simpsons again. My husband and son actually apologized to me for having to see that. I only watched the Simpsons when my son comes over for dinner (quarterly). They called me back to see the angelic Prince right before the John Wayne conversation. It was funny though . | |

The worst part was that it wasn't very funny. It hurts to watch the Simpsons. It just isn't the same anymore.
