Anybody ever start sing whole albums for no reason whatsoever? So I was cleaning the house this morning, vacuuming and whatnot, and I just started singing songs from Parade. The whole album. In order. Admittedly, some of the songs were abbreviated but I did my best to imitate the various drumbeats and instruments Bobby McFerrin style. I about drove my wife and two girls crazy with my rendition of "Under the Cherry Moon" and my falsetto was somewhat lacking with "Kiss". Still I did a pretty decent cover band version of the CD and I have not even heard it in entirety in a couple of months.
Is this some kind of sickness or have I just been a fan that long? And if I try to sing "Lovesexy" tomorrow, should I track my singing so I don't have some sort of asthma attack trying to sing it straight through? All good things they say never last... | |

And if I try to sing "Lovesexy" tomorrow, should I track my singing so I don't have some sort of asthma attack trying to sing it straight through? well, if you were prone to saying things like "kids today and their music!" and "get a job and a haircut!" and such then i'd think you had a case of old-fartitis. but personally, i think that prince composes a lot of music in an easy to sing along with key that makes it easy to, well, sing along. hope this helps. | |
