Did u know: My Medallion = Eric Burdon rip? Last night on the radio I heard what sounded like a classic soul tune, a bit left of center, with spoken word verses. The chorus was near identical to My Medallion

Is this well-known? I've never seen it mentioned and it didn't show up on a search I ran... Shits all over My Medallion... (although I'm not among those that detest that song). So I guess I misheard the lyrics, becsude of the Prince version - but I still can't make out the second half of the chorus: what does he say after Spill that Wine? Anyway, a great way to find out about a classic I haven't seen before. Love Eric Burdon and the combination with War is brilliant. "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"
