May be is about link of conection, I only can get MTVLA I´m from Arg That link was for South American MTV, the one I posted further up is the UK link to MTV. I'm sure if people Google 'MTV' and their territory (i.e. MTV UK or MTV Argentina, which is what I did to find those links) they'll hopefully find one that works in their area.

I doubt MTV paid a dime since most ppl would beg to have their videos shown anyway. Its possible prince signed over the right to them when they were originally played. It might have been a fine print which didnt mean much back then [Edited 10/29/08 10:30am] ----- Artist received fees when music is broadcast over the radio I am sure licensing fees were paid by MTV at one time or another. The point is they have the rights to play the videos. Joe the Plummer does not have the rights to broadcast a video on YouTube. I know this is hard to digest but we do have laws that have to be followed in the good old USA.

Prince and MTv has had a marriage of sorts since the 80's.He was the 2nd black artist played on MTv(behind M.J. and alongside Lionel Ritchie) and that has helped both Mtv and Prince.
It was great seeing the video for "America".I haven't seen it since I was 9.It's like his best video ever.

I remember reading loads and loads of comments about his RRHOF performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps and folks saying "Damn! I didn't know Prince could play like that!". I guess his 21 Nights coffee table photo-book is supposed to gain him more street cred--- who knows. douche-bag. Preach, bruthaaaa!!!!
