Thanks for being interested jacobite.
I've listened 2 Prince music so often through the years that I can say that Prince's music escorted me many days, especially in the car. I would love to drive through the Emerald Necklace Park System in Ohio, and I always had Prince tapes with me. ~I wanna be your lover, is a song that reminds me of being young and still in school. I spent a lot of nights talking to nightshift DJ's on the phone that I'd be falling asleep in school the next day. ~DMSR reminds me of a group of friends and I dancing on Sunday afternoons at a night club called "The Mining Company." ~Just as long as were together, is a song I remember my girlfriend and I having a lot of fun singing along with. I would play, "Free," and "America," on the fourth of July as a ritual. I did that nearly a decade. I brought the movie, "Purple Rain," to the hospital, and watched it when I was in labor with my 3rd son...I have 4 boys. He happens to be the biggest fan of my kids...I took him with me to the "Musicology," concert. The Musicology cd reminds me of driving in Gatlinburg, TN...and seeing a cute chapel off the side of the road. I had "Grafitti Bridge," with me in Maui when my x husband and I were marrying. What a dumb idea that was...Not listening to "Grafitti Bridge," marrying the jerk I did. On many lonely days, Prince was with me. I entered a dance contest and danced to "Arrogance." I was dressed as Cat woman. I didn't win. I was glad. I didn't want 2. "Sign of the times," reminds me of yesterday evening..just passing the time. "3121." reminds me that when I get back from a walk on the beach...I've got a cd to listen 2... All in all...Prince has been around. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

yes sign o the times reminds me of graduating high school
lovesexy reminds me of being in college and going through a spiritual rebirth the gold experience reminds me of standing outside letterman's studio etc etc man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

The GB soundrack always reminds me of when I was a kid. It was my favorite movie when I was like, 7 or 8 (don't ask me why)...
And ofcourse when I was 12 and lived with the radio on they were ALWAYS playing 1999 cuz of Y2K so that also takes me back.
