If there was a new Doctor Who movie coming out, Prince could play 'The Master'. Anybody watch Doctor Who? Is anybody out there a huge Doctor Who fan? Check out 'The Five Doctors' and when you see the master and how he is dressed, you could picture Prince playing that role.

At this point in the game,I would have to say no,Prince should not do another movie. For one thing, where would he get the financial backing to do a movie? He doesn't have Warner Bros. to shell out the bucks this time, and I can't imagine any other movie company being enthusiastic about another Prince film.

But,if Prince wanted to get involved with films again,he should accept small roles in other people's movies.Spike Lee has said repeatedly that he would love to cast Prince in one of his films.Prince should also start doing movie soundtracks again, because he really has a knack for this.

I always thought that he would have made a movie around 1996. I remember they showed Paisley Park on Oprah and they said that there was a movie studio over there. I always thought he would make something as a commentary on the whole WB thing. Or maybe even do bit parts in movies, like Bowie or Jagger. Maybe its better that he didn't considering...Bowie and Jagger.

YES!

But I have to agree - he should let someone else direct/write/back it. In fact, I recall over a decade ago there was talk of him making a movie bio based on the life of bluesman Robert Johnson... you know, the guy who sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for being the world's greatest blues guitarist.

Because it is a period piece (think "Color Purple"), it would give Prince a chance to show a dramatic side to his acting -- AND allow him to play some kick ass guitar. The opportunity would also give him the chance to GROW as an artist -- playing a totally different genre of music, which would help him move on in another direction.

I'm thinking of supporting actors/actresses: Danny Glover, Oprah Winfrey, Thandie Newton, Jimmie Walker (yeah, let's see him comeback in a dramtic role), and Morgan Freeman.

Imagine, Prince winning an Oscar for the portrayal of the great Mississippi Delta bluesman! Perhaps he shoud consider an arrangement himself with the Devil?

I have been thinking about this for awhile...

If Prince made another movie, the only people who would go see it in theatres would be the hardcore Prince fans.

It would not sustain enough publicity to be a box office smash like Purple Rain was. The majority of the general public has lost interest in Prince.

That's why if he ever wanted to get back into making movies, I would suggest that he first take bit roles and once people were familiar with him again and his acting skills, that he could make a big budget movie starrring Prince.

I still think that a Hollywood Director, Producer and Writer should come in to work on the script and camera angles...etc.

Again I say leave the MUSIC to PRINCE because that is what he does best. He could write the original score/soundtrack to the film

I liked all of Prince's movies lovebizzare. I can sit through Purple Rain, Under The Cherry Moon, and Graffiti Bridge over and over again.

The majority of the world's population would not dig Under The Cherry Moon or Graffiti Bridge.

I have numerous friends that I have sat through UTCM and GB with and they that the movies stink. They wonder why I liked them so much.

I like Prince's movie creativity. If he really wants his movies to be successful apart from releasing short films for club members, he really should hire somebody to hire to direct, write and produce the movie

Finally someone who understands. While most people on this site are going to like these movies because it stars our favorite singer the rest of the world has no such attachment and sees them for the crap they are.

Most people on this site defend these movies like the masses are stupid for not embracing them or something.

A DVD of a performance with Musiq of some of the songs played at Celebration 2002 would be a great Christmas gift wouldn't it?

Prince definitely needs to appear in more movies, just not make them himself or star in them.

He has enough acting experience to pull of a SUPPORTING role (a small one) in a serious movie. I could totally see him in an all-star cast, where he could show off his sense of humor and sexuality without having to carry the film.

Oh, and in these movies he would NOT be a musician (like Elvis was)!

Only if he gets a good director (i.e. Spike Lee, P.T. Anderson) to direct it. Otherwise, he should leave it alone.
