no funky guitar during rave era

wheather prince played rock or any other genre hohner
was there for funk,but during rave era prince
didn't play chicken scratch funk guitar live,
have you noticed it and why?
he played riffs and solos but not funk guitar.

Well you'll have to bring me up to speed. Rave (& the DVD) was probably the last Prince CD I purchased & I haven't revisited it in ages. I'm way behind on the live boots too. I can't comment as to how valid your claim is. If this is the case, perhaps he was exercising his prerogative not to play as funky. He's Prince, go figure...LOL!

i have in general problem with rave era.
i can't find a single peformance from that period to be great,
many people here rave about septimo peformance of motherless child,
but to me it sounds bland and unispired.
cafe de paris is awful.
prince's music and his playing abillities improved very much from 2000 along with today.
his music in general lacked passion during rave un2 joy fantastic period.
