No. I believe Prince is referring to how it demands the attention of people so often.

I often wonder how little time is spent looking at the sky since the birth of this tool. I believe it is very helpful, I just think people can get addicted 2 it, like video games...

i find Prince utterly charming when he states his own opinion, as certified fact.

The Internet (when used improperly) takes otherwise intelligent contributing individuals and limits them to brief, meaningless, words. It can also feed hatred, anger and other bad human traits.

I believe the "black hole" comment might refer to the time and energy spent doing something other than benefitting humanity.

The internet is to me:
my library
my dictionary
the fastest mailing system I've used to far.
I can see my friends that are far away on.
organize my finances without using any paper
organized my day without making list after list...using pencil and paper over and over again...
meet people with similar interests.
it's my encyclopedia
it's my globe
it's a way to send a card and save a tree
it's a way to make friends
it's a way to express myself
the ability to reach around the world in a split second. and more and more.....

p.s. there are a lot of commercials!!!!!

The internet is just a tool, you get from it what you put into it.

Maybe that's why Prince sees it as such a void.

I dont think he means the org This is more like Peyton Place
But the internet can be a black hole...it sucks everyone and everything in, can be extreemly impresonal and people seem to just disappear in its depths...or something to that effect
