the song IS prince's best, hans down, in every way.

its perfect, the eeire keyboards, the tight funky bassline, camile vocals...

Yeah same here. If not THE prince best then definitely the best of the late 80s. By the way why did it do so poor in the charts on both sides of the atlantic in comparison to the other SOTT singles?

This is probably one of the best songs Prince has written. I wouldn't go as far to say its his best, but its definitely one of my top favorites.

The vocals are gorgeous. The music seems a little off-beat, but that's what makes it good. It gives the impression that this is a delicate subject.

The lyrics are among his best, definitely. You can tell that he was completely in the zone when he recorded this
