This is an amazing song... even the live cut on the single Holy River... is amazingly special.

God then created his mate from Adam. Although these two are born of the same person and are equal in the sense that they would love eachother as equals, Eve took her place as looking at her man as the final decision maker..

Sweetheart.....in reference to the lyrics you posted...Prince's "Eve" is someone he wants "tonight" at "2 am".....that's not a soulmate he's looking 4. No man that respects a woman would even put that fact (if it exists) in the song.

It's slick talk.... to put it bluntly...a booty call...he just makes it sound real pretty and nice and romantic...Prince himself has made his life on purpose impossible for him to have what he is singing about. He's not trapped there...he wants to be right where he is.... alone for now..the moment...and to think any kind of love or woman could change that is not being fair to herself or to him...The words "to call all mine" pretty much means he wants to possess her as he has most of his situations with woman....parallel souls coast along side each other as one. They don't possess one another.....


The more honest lyrics in the songs I believe are "do it until the job gets done."

Madison, Prince isn't acting like a snake in "Somebody's Somebody." I can see where an alluring man is singing in some of Prince's lyrics, but this song is sincere in my opinion.

I had never heard of snake language before...I guess most of what a man can come up with 2 seduce someone has become transparent to me. I can see right through that stuff.
