I watched Purple Rain...;last night. 
I hate watching it when it airs on TV. They edit out all the good parts and language and split the solo from Computer Blue in half...it's a travesty. And don't even get me started on how they use the grainy original reel from 1984 instead of a nice remastered version. I like going for nostalgia when I watch the movie, but man, watching the old version is like looking at it through a screen door--from across the street! I mean the quality of the one they show on tv is so poor. I mean , hello, it's PRINCE, damnit. Don't half ass it. 
The DVD is it. Feels like Prince is almost right there! LOL! I love a Man who:

I love that part too! Humping the hell out the speaker! LOL.
