One Nite Alone Box Live Box Set

MARKETING IN PLACE:

Major newspapers and magazines have received a promotional copy of the ONA box set and many have responded to doing reviews on the box set.

Prince and the NPG will do a performance on Jay Leno on December 13th (release date of the CD) to promote the box set. Negotiation for a morning show performance is also in the works.

NPG Records will be doing a snipe and street promotion campaign in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Toronto and London throughout the month of December.

Footage of Prince & the NPG has been sent to MTV News, Access Hollywood,Reuters Hollywood, Extra and E! Entertainment Television to do a segment promoting the ONA box set at the beginning of December.

I wonder if all the news agencies paid their membership I want my box NOW... that was then this is now... pleassse... jesus are they doing the cd holes one by one or what???

Hmmm...maybe that really is the box, don't know. Would be cool, me thinks. Though I don't need no critic to tell me that this tour kicks ass.

Actually, thinking about it... would be odd to have "Prince has never released a live album...until now!" on the actual box set, right?

Anyway, we'll see.

And I'll be damned, Best Buy actually has this in their computer...for $59.99!!!

Ouch! Double CDs by Jay-Z and Shania Twain sold for less than $9.99 in some stores! They've got to be kidding me! Then again, Shania and Jay-Z are on huge labels. I suppose this isn't for the masses and might not even chart in the Top 100 considering the track listing (good for Prince fans but not for most pop fans).

Oh well. If I have to pay sixty bucks, I got to pay sixty bucks. Prince, please don't make me pay sixty bucks!
