Under & Over Rated Hey...i saw a post about which Prince songs are under-rated which people took wrong or something...anyway im gonna do another and to make it clear im giving 4 catagories
1.Under-rated by YOU when you first heard them (grown on you) 2.Over-rated by YOU (gone off it or you love it TOO much!) 3. Under-rated by others (in your opinion) 4. Over-rated by others (in your opinion) OK, ill start! 1.Under-rated by me (grown on me) Pink Cashmere...love that song now, didnt at first Anna Stesia...i didnt listen properly at first, i should have! Cream...wasn't kean at first, like it now The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker...i just didn't get it, but for some reason i just love it now! 2. Over-rated by me Can't really think of any right now...if i do, ill let ya know! 3. Under-rated by others (imo) Mr Goodnight...i dunno why so many ppl dont like it, its so cool Lolita...it never seems to be in anyone 'top 10/20' or whatever, its awesome!! 4. Over-rated by others (imo) Purple Rain...yeah i get that its an amazing song, i just heard it too much! Diamonds and Pearls...its ok like, but its not great...in my opinion ----- YOUR TURN!! The lights go out, the smell of doom... | |

Well done for saying it better than me! I hate posting! I was not a fan on Anna Stesia looooveee it now..... Lots of other Prince too! For me that is the beauty of Prince.. you have to really listen before you actually get it! Also loads of other stuff.. Sometimes It Snows in April Lemon Crush The Future It Beautiful Nighht Chelsea Rodgers (hated this - moaned the entire Prince O2 gigs about how awful it was - now love it!) Uptown - my biggest turn around. This song now symbolises everything I love about Prince and never really thought too deeply about. And, oh my God, he must have been really young when he wrote this! Just about everything on 1999 - for years I passed this album by as young and immature - but now I love! Thanks for this post!!! Shut up already, damn. | |

Slow Love & The Ballad Of Dororthy Parker At first i just ignored them but then i relized i luv every song on Sign O The Times so i gave them a fair go. Now i can't get enough of them. 2. Over-rated by me Condition of the Heart: I think its like the best ballad ever but it's probably not that good. 3. Under-rated by others Mr Goodnight: Why does everyone hate that song? One of the best from Planet Earth! New Power Generation: Doesn't get as much love as it should 4. Over-rated by others I Hate U: It's a good song, but people say it makes them cry. Its not that good I Would Die 4 U: Purple Rain is perfect except for this song. I HATE IT!! Also i think most of Parade is over-rated. Escpecially Mountains. And Girls & Boys. | |
