Still LOVING the 'Indigo Nights' CD. As usual, I'm amazed at the lack of positive feedback on this CD. It was SUPERBLY recorded, and Prince picked a fantastic, seamless ensemble of songs 4 this release.. in perfect sequence.
Also, I can't stop playing blues guitar at top volume when playing through "Just Like U", "Satisfied", and "Beggin' Woman Blues". His voice is in fine form, and the guitar is searing on "Whole Lotta Love"... I'm actually shocked that folks here complained about this one. Shelby is fantastic! She (and P and the band) rock the isht outta "Baby Love". The whole thing is a perfect ebb and flow of energy. "He's a musician's musician..."

I haven't listened to it yet. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Shame on you I want to listen to it for the first time on my stereo at home - and I just haven't been there. (I've been in rehearsals and performing a play for the last six weeks.) And I don't want to listen to it in the car because...well...it didn't come with a separate case and I don't want to end up throwing it loose into my glove compartment when I want to listen to something else. Besides...I've heard all these tracks already from...uh..."other sources." We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Listened to it alot. It doesnt really have core tracks is my problem. Its more as a bonus gift than a real live album ...which we dont really get from Prince. I do like the album...Im just waiting to get a real O2 Concert album. however it goes will with the book. But the cd is just a 3 stars for me. Love the humore and Girls & Boys / 3121 / DMSR / Rocksteady / Whole Lotta Love / THe One ...the rest is aiight.. a little slow. I wish All The Critics was a full out version....its more of an instruemtnal. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I love the whole cd, him, his talking (humor), his playing, his co-singers, the covers, everything. The playing with the sound effects in the beginning, love it, so funky. I have to admit that his latest cd's couldn't hold my attention very long so I love it that this cd tingles me inside. I've been playing it on my radio and with headphones. The only "negative" thing is that the music flashes from my right ear to my left ear a couple of times in the beginning of I believe Satisfied, an unpleasant feeling inside of my ears. Even my son likes the cd, he's like "is that Prince? Hmm, nice" and starts wiggling his butt.

9/10
Loses a mark for the "Ah-Ahh" version of Girls And Boys. Horrible. The rest is great, but compared to a very, very special bootleg i have of the night he rocked out on the 28th, it pales in comparison.

Finally a positive thread about the Indigo Nights CD I listen to it very often and especially the first half of the CD is amazing. But I usually skip the Shelby & Beverly tracks ... was great to see them life but it doesn`t work on a Prince CD IMO. I´m glad I have this CD though, some really great stuff on it Dandruff is the first sign of madness.

Perhaps he could've picked a different "Girls And Boys", but it doesn't detract from the experience and flow of the CD. "He's a musician's musician..."
