I received devastating news today, 1/3 of my prince collection was distroyed by fire and theen water damage from them trying to get the fire out. It's been acryin time in my home. Some of which I wont ever be able to replace these items. My very sweet galpal whose home it was is taking things so bad, we are asking you to remember us throughout the week. We both need streghth and peace. I tried to tell others of my loss, but they didn't understnd, so I am telling you because your are part of the Prince Family and, I certain,you would have the same reaction. Words of wisdon, guidance where I can get these items reasonably priced which will be hard as I have been unempoyed for 17 months. But MG GOD is good and He will open those doors

I can really sympathize with u!! I 2 have lost virtually all my Prince collection as well, although in not so tragic or damaging circumstances!!! My loss was due 2 total stupidity on the part of my parents!!!!

When my husband and I moved, we stored a lot of stuff at my parents house and when I went over 2 their place 2 sort stuff out I just couldnt find the huge box that all my Prince collection was in anywhere, not in the spare room, not in the attic, not in the garden shed, not anywhere, so I asked them where it was, and they told me that they had got rid of the WHOLE lot cos they figured that I didnt need it anymore!!!!

All my Uptown Magazines have gone(and I had every single issue), all my Controversey Mags gone(again I had every single issue), All my Interactive Experience Mags have gone, virtually all my tourbooks, and other Prince books gone, even 2 large folders full of Press clippings and cuttings, most of which cannot b replaced, have all gone!!!!! Even the only 2 issues of The Truth magazine that I had have gone!!

THEY CHUCKED OUT EVERYTHING!!!!!

I have never forgiven them down 2 this day!!!!

The thing is if it was sister they wouldnt have done that!!!! They would have treasured everything, but because its me, they couldnt care less!!!! My sister is the favoured one of us 2!!!!

I am still in mourning even now!!!

I'm sorry that has happened 2 U. I'm sure U will be able to replace these albums or most of them over a period of time.

Garage Sales, and Record Exchange stores, are a good place 2 start.

Sorry for your lost. I have lost all mine for 7 years. My house was completely distroyed in a storm here in Louisiana. I haven't stepped foot in my parents' house since we abandoned it until like 3 months ago. I tried saving some pictures and a lot of my cds were stolen or just messed up from water damage. I only found the black album cd, and new power soul cds... Everything else was taken from people breaking in our house. We lived in the deep country. I just recently brought Emancipation on ebay because it was a time of great memories. I can not afford to buy everything again.
However, I did find the pictures of when I was on stage with him and that was the greatest treasure yet!

I might check it out and get mine insured.
Its just not worth the risk.
You might be able to replace most of it but its gutting that like myself you probably started collecting a long ,long time ago!!!

I have 3 or 4 Musicology cds still in their wrapper if someone wants them.... Just send me your email and address and I'll send it along... I'm sad for you loosing them if you did... I have no need for as many as I have....as long as they go to a good home it's not much but maybe it will help....My heart goes out to you!!!

3 years ago my prince cds(everything i had on cds)were stolen..
not all of them have been replaced...i'm still looking...now my main lot of prince music is on cassettes(they didn't find them or didn't want them)
they are still good for something and i'm glad i didn't get rid of them
anyway...

Relax. Almost everything is downloadable nowadays... sooo happy hunting.

Use it as a lesson not 2 get 2 attached 2 material things.
