Some time back in the early 90's when I was living in Queensland I was friends with a guy that owned a second hand record store and one day he was showing me some Prince "bootleg" Lp's that he had just gotten in from AMerica :excited"
The darn things were so expensive I couldnt afford to buy them, so he made me some Tapes of them ( God Im Old )
I still have them....one of them has "The Back Album On It" which I assume to be the black album ( No Ive never played it but will in a moment)
The other one is called "Clubbing it" Wich sound like it was a huge jam session at some club. There is alot of instrumental stuff on it and some kick ass guitar playing as well as him singing "Everybody" and "sex-o-matic"

Does ANyone know anything about this album??? I love it btw

haven't heard of any of these songs except for "Just My Imagination" which love, I just wish I could get a clear version of it. I saw a CD once on Ebay called "Covering Them",and it was Prince singing other peoples songs,and JIMI was one of the ones on there. I did'nt bid in time.

If you can describe each track roughly, it should be relatively easy to identify the release, provided it's all taken from one source. In the back of my mind, I suspect it's a recording of the Trojan Horse aftershow but, very typical of some bootlegs, the titles bear little or no relation to the contents.

It's probably the Paard Van Troje aftershow from 19th Aug 1988.
As that was widely circulating on several boots under various

It has a bright pinky purple cover with a black picture of P in shades and wearing the jacket from the Kiss video ,Parade period.

Funny thing is I only just thought about the tapes today after a year or so, so I dragged out the clubbing it one to have a listen. I feel like I found a little bit of lucky

have 2 say is that you have yours on cassette. mine was made on a disc. i wish wish wish i had some of the mix and 'outakes' from way back man... i just don't know what happened to them. ohh how i wish i had them.
