Lord knows it would be the first time
I woke up sunday morning with no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
and the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert

Eye would just love a cd that has material that we havent already recieved... is that too much 2 ask?

Eye think this "Vault" thing is a crock of crap. eye have tons of boots (TONS), and their nothing but demo's that couldnt withstand borderline music that is currently making noise on the radio stations.. maybe exept for a few, but a few good tracks with the rest as filler dont make anything worth listening to.. eye think he should get back writing music..

like eye said, he hasnt done his best work yet.. there are too many artist eye can think of that have mastered their style of music, and prince (to me) has fell behind.. a great deal.

Me too ..but it's not ever comin back Im afraid sad. I remember when Gold was released the liner notes (by Alan Light?) spoke of Prince having his electronic synths etc all together with a "for sale" sign on them. I love organic music but I cringed at that.

what [will] his next studio release will be like [?].
It will be the same over-produced, over-the-top pretentious, wanna be Teddy Riley, wanna be Babyface sounding, over hyped, over done, weak/cryptic/meaningless lyrics, stupid raps, anemic "horn" arrangements, lame smooth jazz noodling, pointless guest artists, regressive, childish, confused GARBAGE he's been putting out since Batman!!!

Prince, 1978-1988, R.I.P. tombstone

Wannabe Teddy Riley? How does TRC, for example, sound like Teddy Riley. He couldn't touch Prince. TRC is more akin to Sly And The Family Stone, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder D'Angelo and other funk/soul/jazz inflected artists.

don't fall for the bait man...that's all it is!
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

I think he should start an "all-star-band" with d'angelo, maxwell, roots, badu and jill scott. That album would be a logical progression from TRC.

Prince is the band!

More seriously I would love just Prince on the guitar, Blackwell on the drums and Rondha on the bass for some kind of Hendrix experimentation.

Minimalist guitar-based funk/rock? Cool. Band of (post baby boom) Hippies. Yeahhh.

I think he's gonna stick to the live sound for a while.

Fucking hell, sometimes I wonder about orgers. TRC is musically one of Prince's strongest albums ever. This band is fucking brilliant. I can't understand how u can't appreciate that.

Oh wait, I can. I think a look at some of your CD collections would tell the story.

Musically it is, but not in songwriting terms. I blend of the two will give a MIGHTY album.

I personally think Price will go heavy on guitar, but also heavy on the funk. Kinda like "Whole lotta love" in the show.

A hendrix-ish period is on the way. Its the next step in old skool funk!

I hope for a blend of TRC lyrics, with dirty tunes too...

It would be great to have an album where he shows that he's one of the greatest guitar players around!

I hope he'll make another TRC-style album.
Maybe without the low-voice... even more guitar would be nice...
I just dont yet trust him enough to let him go with his adventures, bcause he might go back to symbol-style, but i strongly doubt it.
