Hit & Run tv show, 86, Detroit, on Prince's birthday! I just got to see the Prince & the Revolution Hit & Run Tour tv special (in Detroit on Prince's b-day in 86) - I didn't expect to enjoy it so much. I have seen shows from this era, but only sporadically - Prince is a non-stop ball of energy and mojo all throughout this performance. In a word or two - mesmerizing, and so fantastic it hurts! Although I do wish Prince would have performed both Mutiny and A Love Bizarre together in these shows.

Great show, too bad they edited it down to an hour. I think that was the only time I saw Kiss performed so close to the original version and prefer that to the way he has performed it for so long. Wendy doing the happy b'day song was cool too. I haven't watched it in a long time so can't really remember what all of the songs are. If you haven't checked out A Love Bizarre on the Sheila E live Romance 1600 concert...DO...it is awesome. They do a spoof of Morris Day's Oak Tree. TRUE BLUE

I saw the Hit-n-Run2000 show, which I loved. I went with a girlfriend and I couldn't dance from where we were, because we were in the first row of the first tier, in the corner with a drop below us...It's always been somethin', and I didn't feel like falling, so I had a boring time. Just kidding it was kinda fun. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...
