I know we all love Prince and his music-that's why we frequent this place and engage in some nice discussions But I'm sure the Org and Prince wouldn't mind taking a backseat for a minute so that we can get to know each other better. So What's Ur Career? Do you have a college degree or two ? Are you married, straight, gay? African-American, White, Hispanic, Asian-whatever? Do you think just by revealing this info it's to personal? Do you really give a shit?

I'm a 36 year old African-American female whose divorced (thank God!!! ) and I have a teenage son of my life. I have a four year college degree working on a Master's and I have a nursing license-see bet you didn't think I was a real nurse Okay Ur turn:

I'ma white chick, 35 years old. Married () with 2 sons, one almost 5 and one is 1.5. I have no degrees and don't plan on ever getting any. I'm a QA technician for a computer software company but am currenly working as a receptionist.

I'm O+, just turned 22 this summer, now in my senior year of college (dressed for my senior portrait as I type). Now two semesters away from graduating with a B.S. in Marine Science/Bio. [You'd figure I was a lit or creative writing major with my lengthy posts ]
And even b4 Prince, music has been a huge part of my life. My other hobbies including playing keyboard (self-taught, though I could use more practice), writing my own fiction/poetry, hanging out with friends and the only clubs I'm a part of at school are animé and MARS/SCUBA (MARS= marine science)

I am a black man, 29 yrs old from NYC. I am gay and seeing someone right now, though I think it's coming to an end. I was in the U.S. Marines for 8 years, 1997-2005 and I was a part of the Iraq War. I even posted here from Iraq and Kuwait. I work as a temp at a hospital in Manhattan and I'm waiting on them to hire me but I'm still looking for something permanent. I've been a Prince fan since I was 5 way back in 1984. I became a die-hard fan at 12 and I'm still die-hard 17 years later. That's me in a nutshell!

Thanks. That's a cool bio Jeffiner. To answer your question about it cheering me up or depressing me going to the org while in Iraq/Kuwait, in all honesty, it was like it is now, so it did both. I was happy to be able to keep up to date with what was happening during those times and anything Prince cheers me up but the complaining was really bad then, like how it is all over again now and it did put me in a sad mood sometimes. Even with all of that, this site, in it's odd way, helped me out a lot during those rough times.

NYC is a cool place to live. I was born and raised here so I'm used to all the people, though once I came back after being away in the service, I had to get used to being around it everyday as opposed to 2 weeks. It wasn't hard and it's not scary like it used to be. It's a lot safer here now and I'm very thankful for that. Hopefully, you'll come back and visit again!

I couldn't agree with you more. The more you surround yourself with negativity the more it becomes a part of you. I was getting down about Prince and where he was and where I was with his music at that time but then I listened to his music and I remembered why I was a fan in the first place. I know I'm guilty of making certain things more serious than they should be too but I dare say if we all didn't care, we wouldn't be here. I think that makes the org so great, even with it's warts and all. Most of us care to some degree. Some are "Wolves in Sheep's clothing" but that's another issue We won't go there on this thread

I said in some threads...and we have filled a profile to get in this org and also have a pic on there. I'm 43 years old, female, white, suthamerican,straight. Never married, I´m disabled. I´m secretary of Municipal Body Control in my city, it sounds boring but my bosses are a accountant and a lawyer, they are both female and funny. I frequent this site to enjoy reading all of you, talking about my fav artist but I can´t speak english very well - sorry And in my free time I love to paint.
