Hello I am new to the Prince.org fan community and wanted to say hello to all of you beautiful people out there.
Truth be told, I'm a relative newcomer to Prince (I was not even 1 year old when Purple Rain hit theaters). While I've always been familiar with his "hits" growing up, it wasn't until I actually saw the Purple Rain DVD in the Fall of 2006 that I finally "got it". Since then, I've been enjoying discovering incredible music of a depth and scope that I had not imagined before. If I had to pick, I would say "Dirty Mind" is my favorite album start to finish. But as much as I enjoy his studio work, I'm getting anxious to see him live, and hope he announces some more NYC dates soon! Beyond that, I just wanted to say thanks for having me in your wonderful fan community! | |
