I just watched part of this episode of Oprah and Prince was on there, and he told Oprah that there were was someone else living inside him and he didnt know what sex this other person was. I wish I had the entire interveiw but I only caught a little bit of it on tv. Has anyhone ever seen this? What do you think he means by that?

You were just witnessing a man at the edge of 40 still trying to build a mystery for himself. It's actually kind of creepy in context of the things going on in his life at the time. And a bit traggic.

What I believe that means is that the closer U are with GOD the more compassion U have 4 everyone. I believe a statement like that is more of a masculine-feminine perspective of looking at the world through the eyes of another person. Whole people become familiar with both of those emotional characteristics, however they can still look in the mirror and notice the genitals they were assigned and subsequently use them properly.

It's the only interview he ever did with Oprah. It's a charming interview and at the surface appears to be an 'all access' type of interview, but Oprah really doesn't dig very far---it ends up being really a Prince info-mercial complete with Paisly Park propoganda.

His wardrobe room and glimpses in the studio are cool though.

Yep have to cosign on this one. That whole part, including him taking someone thru therapy (think it was Sheila), the obvious dissappointment that ex GF's stopped calling once he got married and the interview with Mayte just seemed so sad and creepy to me. I don't believe Prince underwent any kind of intense therapy or examination that would lead to the discovery of a split personality or anything remotely close. I think he has an alter ego, like most of us do, that person that is for the stage/press/outside world and that person that is at home chillin with a book and cup of tea. The way he kept eyeing Oprah too seemed to me as if he was studying her, trying to see if the bullshit was taking effect.

i liked this interview i thought he was very interesting, he's the type of guy i would love to sit and chat with!

I have to add that there was sadness in Mayte's eyes, she held her head down alot and didn't make a whole lot of eye contact with ms harpo. oh what she must have been enduring

I vaugley remember watching this when I was like 11 or 12. I wasn't into Prince at the time, but I lit up when he came on TV. He was hot as all hell in those white pants with that booty jiggling all over the place!
