Prince - Desire question!!!

I was wondering what you all thought of this song.

I recently heard the version by The Family, and I LOVE it! It's much slower and more seductive than Prince's version.

I was always a big fan of The Screams of Passion, but only now have I paid Desire any attention.

Which version do you like better... and why... for God's sake... do you think Prince doesn't release so many songs that could have been wonderful hits???
The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else!

great p. take, has a lot of potential

I haven´t heard the family take, (haven´t got it sad ) but their "Nothing compares" is very sweet.

"saving your love for a soldier"
love it

I love the entire album, except Nothing Compares 2 U, which is a clonker; Sinead O'Connor OWNS that song and the only reason he still plays it is cuz she made a worldwide hit of it.

Desire is indeed a luscious affair, with all them Clare Fisher strings. Totally love it.

Nothing Compares 2 U. I prefer the family version for it´s sterility perversion. biggrin
