I guess I have to say Purple Rain, as it was the album that got me hooked, but I do not play it anymore...it is burned on my soul; I do not have to play it anymore, I can recall it in my mind any time of the day.
Just the same with all them pre 1989 outtakes; Joy In Repetition, Last Heart, The Ball, Moonbeam Levels (purrr) and the Camden Palace Aftershow...

I'll go for Parade, as I play it all of the time lately. I just remastered it and the flow of that album is just so magnificent. I boosted the sound on MD and included the extended versions and b-sides; awsome.

This is not only my favorite Prince album, but it's also my favorite album BY ANYONE. 2 CD's of pure audio perfection - the man at his music peak.

I think it was Sign o the times but Parade was the first one I ever bought so its special too.

'Purple Rain' without a doubt...it was the album that first helped me recognize Prince as a true artist...after 'Purple Rain' hooked me all the rest just fell into place...

Come and Sign O' the Times.Beyond the music,I like the atmosphere around those 2 albums.

PARADE - Don't think it's his best, but if I had to choose to rescue just one from a fire - that'd be the one - an absolute joy.
