no wonder P was trying to pull his images

Now I can see why he wanted his images pulled from fan sites. Why go buy a new book with pretty pictures when you can find pics of Prince all over the net from every era, also, he obvious doesn't want people uploading scans of the book to fan sites.

Because there are people that appreciate the tangible photo...If it weren't for feeling close to talking with friends that appreciate Prince music, I wouldn't stare at this light box all day.

I like to hold a book in my hand. I like pictures in books and in frames.

That's not going to stop people from scanning the photos from one book and emailing them to people and printing them out.....they can make a ton of books from just one.... I don't get this panic.....
Not to mention copying or taping the CD.... If they want it they will get it.
It actually makes the pictures and CD worth more outside the market....It's still going on...they just get smarter and hide. It's like drugs, abortions, and the locks on your front doors....

yeah, but it doesn't explain his videos, past pictures and why if someone used his music in a home video he'd sent web sheriff after them

This stuff is sorta scaring me....He's acting like some mad scientist or something....what up???? Has he hit "tilt?" I hope someone is watching over him (other than the obvious). I know he's brilliant...there's a fine line ya know???
I really believe he can't see himself objectively anymore....and I don't think he cares....not on purpose..... he's just in some place....I hope I'm so way wrong.....He's trying to be so in control.....and acting so out of control....

It's hard to get courts to enforce your intellectual property rights if you go about it inconsistently or half-assed. As they say in many sports, you either go hard or you go home. I think people have finally come to appeciate that a certain somebody ain't goin' home. lol

A strategy of zealous protection will alienate some people who, because of easily accessible technology, can appropriate intellectual property with the push of a button, without fairly compensating the owner. There's no getting around that. But, taking measures to increase the respect for your intellectual property rights in the marketplace maximizes your ability to ensure that you, not others, profit from your property, plain and simple. sigh

I always assumed that the clampdown, unpleasant as it may be to some, was Step 1 to paving the way to the sale or official display of some image-based content. We've seen some evidence of that. I hope we see more soon. nod

This is a bit of a reach. Really. He fights to pull his images from the Internet because he is a control freak douche bag. He knows that people who would buy his silly book would buy his silly book no matter what else is available.

well regardless of control issues I meant that this may have been part of the reason, I didn't mean that it is his sole reason for doing it. The book just happens to come out after he pulled images from online, just reaks of a marketing tacted to me.
