Just finished watching Lovesexy.... for the first time, and wow! what a show! His crew must of had a blast when getting to be apart of those shows. Another thing I noticed is he looked so happy,he looked truely peaceful, and happy. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

20 years ago 2day i saw the lovesexy show at madison square garden
i was already beginning of the mindset of "revolution who?" after sott, but this concert solidified it man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I love the Lovesexy show. Gosh Prince looked so good in that show. I love him with all that big, teased up hair.
And then those little black and white hip hugging trousers? Come here Princey. That man was a little unstopple piece of dynamite in designer heels. I wonder if he's still got those pants...and if he still rocks them every now and then! I love a Man who:

That was a great show. and the footage is raw and uncut, that's one of the great things about it. Happy to have my copy of the live show. must be the tape (DVD by now) that i have seen the most of any tape i own. (concert, movie, whatever). It still rocks, and that after 20 years.....

I remember Eric Leeds telling in an interview the shows were HELL; over-produced, no room for improv, boring as hell, tediously long rehearsels and on top of that there were camps of Prince personnel. I think at that time he was romantically linked to both Sheila and Cat AND he was wooing Anna Garcia at the same time. Some people of the band never spoke to eachother. Maybe that's the reason Eric did not play at the most famous aftershow of them all; the Small Club performance at Het Paard Van Troje (The Trojan Horse) at The Hague, the Netherlands. He was getting very tired of all the hoopla.

I saw the 3rd Lovesexy show in Chicago and it was amazing. Still one of my favorite concerts of his, and I've seen a lot of his concerts. He did Sign O the Times that night, which was awesome because I later found out that that song was not on the playlist for most of the Lovesexy shows. I also got a picture of him out of his limo greeting myself and a few other fans that were there in the parking lot of the Rosemont Horizon as he arrived for the show that afternoon. I almost passed out from excitement. I didn't have the opportunity to see the Sign O the Times or Parade tour live, but have both on video and those are great too, but Lovesexy had so much going on on stage it was awesome. For me his music is so much better live, for instance I Wish U Heaven 12 inch was okay, but live it kicked ass with that guitar solo, which was on the 12 inch but never shown through like that!!!
