I think it was arrogant (and ignorant) when years ago Prince explained that he wouldn't be going to anymore awards shows b/c he might find himself "losing to a band like U2". Prince, if you think U2 aren't a great band I feel sorry for you. the music knows what your motives are when you are making it

People that don't have what he has and are mostly likely jealous are the ones that give him labels. Prince has worked hard all his adult life and achieved his dreams and beyond. He deserves to be just as arrogant as he wants to be, and more.

I think Prince is arrogant. Always have. Always will. 
To be perfectly honest, it's part of his appeal for me. I mean I like a guy who confodent in himself and carries himself as such. Hell, if Prince was all lily-livered and yellow bellied and mellow, I'd have passed over him completely for someone else. And besides, I've got the Prince-smirk down pat and use it frequently from time to time. LOL. (You know, staring ahead, with your cheeks sucked in.)  I love a Man who:

I'm sure Prince has been turned away many many times.....
When I was in college I was terrified of failing.... studied studied and studied...I started getting A's...no matter how many A's I got I never for a minute figured that the rest would just be A's...I worked even harder to make sure that I still got A's ... the more A's the more I tried..... I think Prince is very aware that he can go "poof"into obscurity in less than a second.... so he works very very hard and does whatever it takes to keep getting A's . Chicks are a dime a dozen for anyone in L.A. so are men and very beautiful ones.... I'm sure he gets his fill of everyone's free advice in person just as we do on here.....arrogant???
