i remember reading an interview not too long ago that asked him that same question, and he said something to the effect of:: "yeah, my favorite song i ever did was... hey! i'm not telling cuz then you'll go out and download it!"
or, er, something like that.

From his own music, I'd say that Prince's favourite song at the moment would be one of the religious ones. Such as Ladder, Anna Stesia or various tunes from Rainbow Children.

In my opinion it would be "The Ride". Why else would he insist on playing such a mediocre song so often! --------------------------------------------------

It's the perfect 12 bar blues song for P to showcase his love for dirty blues guitar jamming - THAT'S why he plays it so much... ummm... that's not 12 bar blues. 12 bar means 12 bars... the ride has 16 bars, so while it is considered "blues", tis not 12 bar. sorry, perfectionist musician in me.
