I love the Grateful Dead. I am listening to them right now. I can listen to them any time. I could go on and on about how much I love the Dead.

My love for the Dead comes nowhere close to my love for Prince's music. Hands down, unequivocally, Prince is my favorite artist.

He's my favorite "pop" artist. It's hard to place him in a genre... R&B at times... soul at times... funk at times... well... most of the time... overall I lump him into "pop".

Other than Prince, I don't really listen to many current mainstream artists (though he hasn't really been mainstream for years).

I undulate betwixt back packin hip-hop, oldschool/hardcore punk, and grincdore/death metal.

Other "popular" faves are folks of the past like James Brown, Sly Stone, Sam Cooke, James Caar, Desmond Dekker, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, blah, blah, blah,

I guess Coltrane (especially the compositions in his later years that his wife published posthumously) and Prokofiev are my favorite artists of the 20th century.

Shit... I don't know... I love too much music.

He's the one I listen to the most lol

I wouldn't go as far to say favorite, though.

My top artists include:

1. Jesse McCartney
2. Prince
3. Jordin Sparks
4. Ashlee Simpson
5. The Click Five

6. The Beatles
7. Maroon 5

aside from 1 & 2, the rest aren't necessarily in order lol
With the exception of a couple artists, most of my artists are singer/songwriters these days cool

Prince would probably be my first (among many), with Frank Zappa running a very close second.

Nope Stevie Wonder is, I hope nobody minds. Stevie is cool, right? But I know most of Prince songs including rare tracks, and he has amazing musicianship. Some of the tracks he done are so super funky you can't help but groove 2 them. My taste of music is really diverse, but no doubt I enjoy Prince musiq that's why I'm here.

For me, what I like about Stevie Wonder's music is that from the first time I hear a new song of his... it's a hit!. His songs don't have to grow on me, I love them from the first time I hear them. Like the music he played at Obama's acceptance speech. Stevie had the tears running down my face before Obama even spoke his first words, lol.

I love and appreciate music from all times and from everywhere. Prince is my favorite for a range of reasons...Not just the feelings the music brings or how beautifully Prince sings, but how Prince goes about that offering.

Same here. In fact, he's my #2 behind Prince.

As much as I love stevie, but I dont see much evolution in his music its just the same thing, his last album titled A Time 2 Love was good...but not good enough for a man who hadnt released an album in quite sometime sad altho the highlight of that album for me was How Will I Know the duet with his daughter Aisha nod
