Prince and his horn section ?

does he write the music for the horn section on piano and have a computer transcribe it?...or does he say to the horn section, "I want you to go ba dah ba dah bahhhhh" and they know what notes to play?

I heard him do that live and at rehearsels. It's even on Indigo Nights.

Check out the bootleg title 'An honest man'. It has him prepare his band for the parade tour - on the track 'anotherloverholenyohead' he gives a great demonstration as to how he communicates his ideas to all of this band members (including horns). It makes for very interesting listening AND at one point he plays an improvised instrumental version of the song alone on piano and it is beautiful and far too brief.

If there is anything i like about his newer music, it's the horn section!, and it goes double live!
Last time i saw him was Musicology, and damm that horn section tore it up!
I dont know how old Maceo is, but he was tearing it up!, baddass!

I especially dig it becasue you dont get to hear live horn sections often anymore, and certainly not badass like Prince horn sections.

It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Some of my favorite horns are on "Billy Jack Bitch". Love the extended version.

It was the Hornheadz I think. Heard the song off of their CD that they played on BJB. It was really cool. Just the hornz playing that riff with no other insturments.
