Prince's 80s music is much loved, but what songs in late 90s and 2000s surpass some of his popular songs in the 80s? Here are a number of songs that in my opinion surpass some of the beloved songs in the 80s, beginning 1996:

I really don't agree with the word surpass when it comes to a person maturing in their own field.
The one song that always stands out for me is "Emale." It is because of the sound most importantly, and I do like the lyrics, it's just that this song could be commercialised and used in several places in the world. The song has a great mood to it.  "The Lion Sleeps Tonight... | |
