he couldve given us better songs you mean to tell me in 21 nights of live
performances he chose these songs as the best. I bought the book to see live concert performances of Prince in concert not in some hotel room.shame on randy

cool footage of Prince. You're better than this Prince, I saw John Mayer
perform live on a show called Austin City Limits & his guitar playing & band
performance is far better than what Prince has on this cd. Prince, Stop cheating
your fans of the gems you could perform live & unreleased tracks that are gems
that you are keeping from us. I need to hear these songs & see you perform them.
I feel a void & hurt when you do this to us(your true friends) who need your
music as much as you need to create it. You are being selfish & mean by keeping
us in the "DARK". WHERE'S THE LIGHT?

I take it you don't have much money, because $30.00 dollars is not much.

2 get a big,well constructed book like that PLUS a cd is a bargain at that price.

The CD is an after show these shows usually do not include P’s hits or well known tunes he has been performing these after shows for over 20 years and they have been discussed on this board and in the P fan community for years. In addition, with the exception of the “Emancipation era NPG P has been using professional musicians at these shows I doubt they suck or not proficient at playing their instruments and no everybody can’t have the great stage presence that John Mayer has (LOL)

I dont have money with the economy & gas prices the way they are so when I make
the financial sacrifice to pay $40 for prince I expect better than he offered knowing he has better perfomances from the London shows cuz I have heard some
bootleg from the London shows from friends of mine that are far better. secondly shorty, you just insulted me without even knowing me so that says
volumes about your personality & the kind of person you are. remember the scene
from "UNDER THE CHERRY MOON"? "IF YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY ABOUT

If your really pissed about the money just put the book up for sale in a few months and you can get some of your money back.

to laura, I have never been forced to purchased anything by prince but my point
is for such a hugely incredible & once in a lifetime 21 nights in London serious of prince concerts, of all of those performances & songs performed, these were the best. I dont mean of his whole catalog in the vault or of his
whole career. but of just those performances. anyway, I'm beating a dead horse.

I'm pleased with the book, maybe I was expecting less than some people but for £13.50 I'm satisfied

It's not expensive.

He could of just put out the book minus the cd.

Keep in mind it cost him close to nothing to make both the book and CD.

IMHO, this book is just counting time - waiting for next year, a new album and a deal with Live Nation. And you never know, the so-called best live artist of his generation might actually tour and play to audiences that don't consist of Z-list celebrities.

Well worth the money, I reckon and I paid £25 for it which is about the equivalent of $43. I certainly can't see how you can say that it's 'too much for so little'.
If the content isn't what you were wanting, then that's your problem, not Prince's. It was fairly obvious before it went on sale, if you cared to look around the net, what the book/CD was going to contain.

You act as if Prince owes you something... He doesn't.
You're not legally obliged to buy his products and ultimately, the book/CD does exactly what it said on the tin in the first place; pictures from his 21 Nights in London (and some time in Prague - hurrah, an added bonus ) and a CD from the Indigo Nights live shows.
If they ain't to your taste, then like I say it's your problem. But as a product, I think it's great value for money.
And to say 'I need to hear these songs & see you perform them. I feel a void & hurt when you do this to us...' sounds ridiculously selfish and somewhat sad. Surely 'mildly disappointed' would have sounded a little less obsessed than 'a void & hurt'
Celebrate what we have got, not stress about what we haven't.
