I thought I post this up in here since I realized that several Prince fans did not know that P's old school song "Sexuality" is in the film "Summer Lovers" from 82. Anybody remembers this film? I sure in the hell do. I love this film. Not because it's great or anything but it reminds me of when I went to go see it. I had such a major crush on this girl that was a cousin of a friend of mine. She went to another school in another city that was really far from me. But she would come and visit her cousin from time to time. Who stayed across the street from me. So we all went to go see this film. My game wasn't too shabby for a 13 year old but when it came to this girl, I simply forgot how to talk. I mean, my throat would just close up on a brutha. Mostly, I would just try not to stare at her. Anyways, whenever I think of this film, I can't help but not think of this girl and how goofy I got whenever she came around. I kinda miss being like that. Being goofy. I think I'm still goofy to a degree. I always associate this film with that summer, which was a great time. Very innocent time. This soundtrack is good too. I simply love the main theme song from this film "Hard To Say I'm Sorry/Get Away" by the group Chicago. Anyway, if anybody on here has never seen the film, ya'll might get a kick to hear "Sexuality" in it. I remember thinking how cool it was when I first saw the film. It was a cool surprise. I was all telling the girl I was crushing on in the theatre when Sexuality played "Yeah,...that's Prince. he's real Bad!"

I've never seen the film though, I'll need to add it to my list You've reminded me of Chicago 'If you Leave me now'?, I used to 'fancy' the singer when I was a little girl And you've also reminded me of my first 'date' going to the cinema to see James Bond, our two Mum's going 'Oh, they're going on a DATE!! Oooh, awww...' I was mortified. My Mum gave me a box of maltesers to share, but I was too shy and embarrassed to move or speak, never mind open a box of maltesers! It's still making me cringe now actually... Nice memories huh...?

82' was a good year. I was a sophomore in high school. We had a great class.

as a kid they took me to see "First Blood" and the theater in Hyde Park in Chicago had Summer Lovers coupled with it. All I remember is a scene with candle wax and a lot of nudity and how I couldn't wait for it to be over so I could see some shoot em up action. I was probably only around nine at the time, (no wonder I am so screwed up) I can't remember if a Prince song was in the movie.

Sexy dancer is in that movie too.

You're exactly right. I was going to include that in the thread as well and straight forgot to. Obviously the producers of the film dug Prince because this was way before the Purple Rain explosion and all the bandwagon hoping folks were doing. 1999 wasn't even released yet.
