Hey peeps! Did u know that the music video 4 Theives In The Temple is actually longer? The total time is about 8 minutes! I woul post a link, but I can't do that(for I would get in2 trouble) The 2nd half is pretty cool !!

it was a crazy game show in the 70s, and at the end of each show everyone would put on crazy hats and dance on stage. kind of like a prince aftershow.

I remember the public premiere at Wembley Arena in 1990. It was cool that it went on with an extended part. The helmer stuff made me laugh though

I love that version, but trust me this has been out forever, and the vid is on the web just watched it last night.

I love the long version and video. The video is one of my favorites. It was so funky and different. I loved the video and lyrics playing in the background as Prince and the girls danced. The girls were Robin Power and her friend Kim, I believe. I think the interaction between the two of them and P was great. It was sexy, funny and cool. I thoroughly enjoyed it because it was so unexpected when it continued at the end of the short version. I remember BET was the only channel that showed the long version. VH1 and MTV always cut it off.

VH-1 would sometimes play the long version, too. That's how I caught it.

I tend 2 dig the extended mixes a bit more than the album or radio edits...I suppose it's a case of wanting more of the purple funk!

Great song...great video...a def highlight of GB.

me too...i like knowing that i'm hearing the whole thing, or as much of the whole thing as he'll let us enjoy. i love when i hear an extended version and i hear that bridge from the familiar radio/album edit to the extended part...it's like finding the statue on the bookshelf that opens up a secret passage.

I TOTALLY agree with that. I listen the the extended versions much more often, especiall Thieves in the Temple, Let's Go Crazy, Let's Work, etc. Once you go to the 12"s it's really hard to go back because it's like you're missing a piece.

But the Thieves Extended Mix is crazy. The second half picks up so much intensity, and I love the added percussion and reversed sounds. it's super cool.

I don't know how anybody can keep still on this (vid), It's FANTASTIC!!
