How is the prince cd with the new book?

is there any new songs on this cd that he is selling with this book? Is there any place you can buy the CD without the book?

I believe it's only to be sold with the book. I have a copy of the CD, and I'm just not feelin' it. Even Beggin' Woman Blues was not as funny as people were making it out to be. It was actually just smirk funny. The CD has some okay moments, but I'm just so not impressed with these live versions of his tunes. I even found myself skipping past some of the tracks. Clearly he had to have better material from Indigo than this (and from what I hear/heard, he has)!! All The Critics pales in comparison to the version he played at the Celebration in 2002 and the rest of that tour. Maybe I'm just not feelin' this new band of his. Maybe I had to have been there to appreciate it more (though I've heard countless shows that I didn't attend and they ripped & kicked ass from start to finish, so I guess that's not an excuse). Maybe if the first few songs didn't have the same beat and music....I mean, if you're going to do something like that, make sure it's ultra funky, like how he did It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night at the New Year's Eve show in 1987 where Miles performed. Now THAT was hot! I was expecting to actually hear the music for Delirious.

For those that haven't heard it or have it yet, I don't mean to douse anyone's enthusiasm for what they're about to hear in a week or so, but overall, it left a LOT to be desired. Maybe it'll take a few listens to get into it. Who knows. And, I'm not one to poo-poo on EVERYTHING he's done beyond 1988 (Lovesexy), though I'm not particularly happy with the direction he's been going in the past 10 years, but that's another story (best albums in past 10 years were really 3121 and TRC). LOL!

Strange that a perfectionist such as Prince doesn´t really have the slightest clue about what his listeners really like , and strange that he doesn´t seem to notice the piss poor quality of some of his releases ( Aladdin DVD´s sound and poor and cheesy editing, the ONA Live CD set, various butchered rehearsal and concert snippets off of NPGMC and ridiculous video clips that are laughable and a waste of money since they don´t get released anyway).
I´m not really criticizing him since he won´t really change anymore, anyway, and I will buy anything he releases because I find a little bit of beauty in every released product of his but, come on, the overall quality of a lot of his releases, be it CDs,DVDs, books, or especially his album cover artwork, has gone totally downhill since Lovesexy , with Diamonds and Pearls and Lovesymbol being exceptions ( their album artwork was pretty decent).

At this point, many listeners would rather have an unedited, uncensored and unmastered song simply released on an official CD than a polished, overedited and overproduced product that sounds somehow sterile and lame.
Maybe he thinks that he can get away with it because people are gonna buy his stuff no matter what,or the fact that most people shell out big bucks for poor quality bootlegs but that doesn´t mean that his officially released products should also sound sub-par.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
