I mean, with the book coming out he released a new video... although it was 4 a pretty old song ( Planet Earth 2 summers ago in case you forgot ) promoting mostly the book... but right around the same time he drops a new studio song to a radio station without any heads up.... pretty typical Prince move, remember when he sent Shockadelica straight to the stations out of nowhere as soon as he made it? Seems like the vid for The One U Wanna C is mostly 2 promote the book, but the new song?? What's that promoting? Obviously a new project in the works... and what's w/ that rumor about a producer being called off a project 2 track a new Prince album? That wouldn't just materialize out of nowhere, surely it's got 2 have some bearing....


Just sayin... kinda looks like something's in the pipeline... but knowin Mr. P he'll prolly see this post (yall know he's gotta be watchin us.. could you resist reading this stuff about yourself if u were in his shoes?? didn't think so.) and decide 2 halt the project all 2gether....

we're flooded with info, cryptics, tracklists, reviews of songs that some
people heard somewhere etc.

somehow this whole "turn me loose" thing just feels different, i don't
know fcuz, but something tells me there isn't a new album on the way this
year.

i agree. i think he's just "trying out" the new track on us to check out the response, the way he did when he first dropped the "guitar" track as a digital download. if i remember correctly, that was basically a demo track, and it was a while before PE followed it up. it could be that he's prepping an album for early next year or next spring. that would make more sense, because that would give him time to promote the book. plus, who knows what he's cooking up with the bria album?

what's with the weed refrence at the end of your post jake? I mean sure...pass it along but I don't see what it has to do with your post...unless you think P's smoking some good shit these days?

The promoting of the book should b about 2 weeks..plenty of time left in the year 2 drop a new one..plus remember that banner on leno? it looked like the cover of the new album

Kyler England is performing around the country on a CD release tour that brings her to Milkboy in Ardmore tonight. But there's a problem.

"Yeah, I'm doing a CD release tour without a CD," England said during a phone interview on Wednesday as she traveled from Baltimore to New York . "The CD is not exactly done - it's 98 percent ready. My husband, Richard Furch, and I were making the record and the tour dates were lined up."

Then Prince got in the way. Furch, who is a respected producer and engineer from Los Angeles, was lured away by the rock icon.

"We were almost finished with my album when Richard got a call to engineer and track a new album for Prince," England said. "So Richard has been spending his time at Sunset Sound in L.A. and I've been on the road without my new CD.

"I started working on the album back in January and then was touring a lot in the spring. The final touches were just put on the album and the CDs are being pressed now. They'll probably be on my doorstep when I get home from the tour. I'm taking pre-orders for the album and handing out four-song samplers at my shows."

Sometimes, it can be hard on audiences if too much new material is introduced in concert, but this hasn't been a problem for England on this tour.

"I've been touring a lot all year," she said. "I've been playing some of the new songs, so people are already familiar with a few of them. And I've had some of the album's songs up on My Space for a few weeks. I'm playing a lot of the new album in my current set - some old songs, but mostly newer stuff. It's working out fantastically. People are buying the pre-orders.

"I've done so much writing in the last couple years - for myself and for other musicians.

"I go to Nashville and write country pop. Back home, I write teen pop and electronica dance music. All the songs come pretty easily.

"When I come back to my own stuff, I write about inspiration I get from my own life. I had so much fun writing this record. It deals with living in the real world and growing up. I've learned that you have to continually challenge yourself."

England will be sharing the bill with Ellery, a husband-and-wife duo from Cincinnati.

"On this tour, it's just me and my guitar," England said. "On a lot of the dates, I've been co-headlining with Ellery. They've been sitting in on my set, so I have a mini-band with me for some of my set. It's worked out nicely."

Newsflash: Prince can drop an album anytime. There are never indicators. Usually length between projects is most telling.

Well what about F.U.N.K.? ....I realize that was a reaction to goings on....but an album never followed that track...which was unfortunate because in my opinion....Prince is best when he is pissed off.....

And what about the talk of an Amarna project? The man registered some websites under that name.... now that cyberspace is a 'black hole' to Prince, the websites may never materialize but the name itself may be an indication towards the direction of some project he was/is working on....
