Planet Earth Liner Notes? Hey all,
I did a search, but I couldn't find anything. I'm new here, so please be patient and light on the chastisement as I'm sure this has been covered a while ago. I ordered a new, shrinkwrapped copy of Planet Earth and received it a couple of weeks ago. There is no booklet. There are sparse liner notes behind the clear CD case. The only way I could find out the track listing was by entering it into iTunes. So... am I missing something? Are the fleshed out liner notes to be contained in the yet as unreleased Planet Earth book? I'm still miffed as to what that book is supposed to be anyway as it should have been released on the first of September. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

D'oh!
Well thanks for the clarification. At least I feel I wasn't ripped off. That's certainly odd. Any clues as to what the Planet Earth book is supposed to contain?

Any clues as to what the Planet Earth book is supposed to contain? there is no planet earth book. there is a book of sheet music for the album, but that's pretty standard. it's not like prince had any special input on it or anything. there's also a tourbook from last years 02 shows, but you're not really going to get any planet earth album info there either. and of course, there's the 21 nights book coming out, but that's a photo document of prince's london shows from last year. again, not really any info on the PE album to be found there either.

Gotcha! I took a closer look at the Amazon provided photo for the book I was referencing and immediately regognized the Hal Leonard logo. I haven't bought any sheet music in years, sadly, so that publisher's signifigance slipped by me at first. And, in the upper left hand corner it clearly says PIANO VOCAL GUITAR.
Now I feel kinda stupid what with this posted all other the intra-webs. Ah well. Thank you Anxiety for all the assistance! Peace.

Am I dreaming? I thought Prince published the Planet Earth lyrics on his 3121 Website for a brief period of time? Yes? No?

You are totally right. The 14 page "Planet Earth Lyrix.pdf" was available for a couple of weeks on www.3121.com.

Just remember that the credits R the "over generous" Prince type. The people listed played minimally on the album. It is mostly Prince, and it is brilliant, but most folks here know that I really liked the album.
