Basically im saying that even tho i liked Princes last 3 albums (Planet Earth the least) there not totally flawless. so im saying forget he released them 3 and imagine he released 1 mega album instead with 16 songs you loved best from the last 3 albums, what would they be?

yes. it's probably why i enjoy them so much (to varying degrees).

i have no idea if he's picked the BEST 10-12 tracks for each of these albums, having not heard what was left off, but i'm glad he's rediscovered the fine art of editing himself.

if they were any longer, i imagine i'd rank them down there with Emancipation and Rave. or dread having to slog through a another D&P or or TRC-length disc at this late stage in his career and my fandom.

Prince's problem with half these songs isn't the actual song themselves, but how he records them (vocals, mix, etc.). This is evident when he does a live version of a studio song that I first find and then think is brilliant in the flesh. I've seen him completely murder classic studio recordings live too, so it works both ways
