They both will, but for different reasons. Prince will go down in history because of him being prolific, ultimate musically creative force beyond all imagination and Michael Jackson will go down in history for out grossing everyone, having the no. 1 album, no. 1 tour, no 2 tour and both will go down as being very contraversial, hardworking, great entertainers.

The facts are Prince has created more music than any three or four artists that's been out as long as he has and has put out more music than MJ (Even with the J5) but again MJ has out grossed Prince (not counting the J5) starting with "Off The Wall" until now.

Which is to ask: Does quantity mean quality?

Michael Jackson: 7 or 8 albums
Prince: 27 albums

These don't include best of albums

They both have done too much not to go down in history and that's a fact. People will be talking about them both until the world ends.

No offense but I seriously doubt people will still be talking about Prince till the world ends, they barely talk now

No offence taken

I disagree with you completely, Prince's music will be right up there with Elvis, The Bealtes, Rolling Stones, Bach, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson etc. Didn't he just sell out 21Nights in London? And what about The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame? Etc...just because he's not in the PR era doesn't mean that people aren't talking about him. People all over the world love him and are talking about even as I comment on your comment.

His name is permently cemented in musical history...for the rest of history.

Why the heck are MJ fans joining a Prince fansite anyway? wacky
You got way too much time on your hands and water on your brain if you're an MJ fan and you join this site just to diss Prince or compare him to MJ. That's kinda maniacal IMO.

A real true lover of music will have love for both Michael and Prince. There's plenty of MJ fans that are Prince fans as well and vice versa.

It's OK to be a Fan of both Prince AND MJ. What's the problem with that? If a Prince fan believes that MJ is better at Prince at something, it's not a crime. lol

We're not talking checkers or basket ball! Seems like here and past threads these MJ fans just want to diss Prince. You can't possibly get on this site and suggest MJ's music and overall career is better and not appear to be drinking too much Koolaid. Just doesn't make sense and there's no comparison btwn the two because they are totally different artists. Apples and Oranges, Bacon and Turkey! Just MHO! Proceed.

I guarantee you those are not MJ fans that creates those Prince diss threads such as "The Black Album Disappreciation" or "This Song Sucks, Prince Should Retire" threads. Those are true diehard Prince fans saying and doing that. lol
