NPG Music Club songs' appreciation thread

Wasn't that an experimental era? I think Prince took a lot a freedom 4 himself and plunged in2 one of his deep recording sessions, similar 2 other 2 most important eras in his career, back in 1985/87 and in 1993/95.

In the early 2000s, when he was planning to put out the 'High' album (something I wish he could have done), he came up with some electronic jams that sounded so diffent from any other material he ever released or recorded.

So, let's list those songs:

One Song
Cybersingle
Splash (P & the Revolution)
Y should I do that When i can do this
The Funky Design
Mad
When i lay my hands on u
Habibi
Props and pounds
Sex me, sex me not
Hypnoparadise
Instrumental
Northside
Van Gogh
Peace
Golden Parashute
Judas Smile
Contest Song
My Medalion
Rebirth of the flesh (rehearsal)
Vavoom
High
Silicon
Madrid 2 chicago
Breathe
Jukebox with a heart beat
S & M groove
The daisy chain
Underneath the cream
Super cute
U make my sunshine
When will we b paid
Gamillah

some interesting tunes nod. i didn't have a computer when the npgmc was around, but have "found" all these tracks lurking. for no reason whatsoever, my old thread: http://prince.org/msg/7/240669 mushy lol. a few i could do without, but decent material overall cool thumbs up!
For all time I am with you, you are with me.

Something like

Love me while U watch the time
And if I falter or lose my rhyme
U will drop me like a useless dime
Cuz U ain't no friend of mine, no, no

Steer me wrong and drop me off
From a swan dive to a bellyflop
The shallow waters that flood your heart
Will 4ever keep us apart

U never cease 2 amaze me
Though sometimes I just don't understand, no, no
The chances U took 2 play your hand
But U never took my love when it was here

My heart's been through it a thousand times
Like a fair fruit upon the vine
The shiny promise that fades with time
But the seeds are sown and the hope defined

Such a sad way 2 lose someone, oh yes it is
2 live by "better said than done"
The song and dance that hides your gun
From those who buy the silver from your tongue

And U never cease to amaze me, uh uh
But sometimes I just don't understand, I don't
The chances U took 2 play your hand
But U never took my love when it was here

The song and dance that hides your gun
From those who buy the silver from your tongue

Sweet song. Piano and voice. Would fit in 'One Nite Alone'.
