Heard Any Good Prince Covers Lately???? This is my first time posting...usually...i just browse the topics and have a few good reads...but..
this weekend i was at bell's brewery..in michigan..maybe you have heard of it?? (make a fine brew called oberon btw) they had a band, as they do most weekends..and they were good...but i wasn't paying too much attention... then..i hear it..the beginning notes to 'i could never take the place of your man'! omg! i was so surprised! This band didn't have a drummer (out sick) and relied on an acoustic guitar and an accordian! yup...an accordian..it was awesome! made my night.. so my ? 2 u...have you heard any bands cover a prince song lately???? Mike Zito has a bluesy version of "Little Red Corvette" on his new album. It's kind of its own song though... I probably wouldn't be able to identify it if it weren't for the lyrics. I don't know why he just didn't make his own song. | |
