I just saw this listed on HQ, what is this? I got the 3-disc box set. Is this the same thing?

It's not the same thing. ONA Piano is a studio album that was included with ONA Live if you bought it from Prince's Website.

I haven't heard it, but I feel like it's probably like The Truth, but piano instead of acoustic guitar.

Yeah, it was ONLY available from NPGMC, and even then it was never for sale.
It was originally sent to members as part of their 2nd year's membership. It
was also included with the live box set which was sent to members at the end
of the same year, so most members actually received 2 copies. A lot of these
2nd copies got given to friends or sold on Ebay. However these days, it's
pretty hard to get hold of a copy and they tend to sell for big bucks.

Yes, European fans got advance ticket sales and access to the soundchecks
too. I went to a couple of the London ONA shows, and got tickets right near
the front and got to listen to Prince and the band run through several songs
in soundcheck, with Prince chatting to us and getting NPGMC members up
on stage to sing etc. It was a great time for fans.

It's a great release - beautiful piano, excellent vocals and lyrics (Young & Beautiful being the only sub-par track IMO). So, 9 songs out of 10 that I love -- a great ratio.

Arboretum is the complete standout track for me. Completely instrumental, comparable to Venus De Milo in scope (and digitized dove sounds too!).

Copy 1 was 1/4 of our 4-disc agreement . . . copy 2 was a bonus for fans who ordered the box ONA Live set thru NPGMC.

I like the fact that most NPGMC members got 2 copies, kinda like it was special for "us".

I once had a CD with a crack in the center plastic. I refrained from playing the disc cause I didn't want it to break. I then decided to give it just one more spin, namely to upload all the tracks to my iTunes library. Well, I got to track 7 and then the CD exploded (no kidding) in my computer's DVD drive

Needless to say, that was quite an unpleasant experience.
