Crystal Ball live? Does anyone know if this song has ever been performed live? If so when and with who in the band?
Thank you. x | |

He once performed it in Austria in either 1986 or 87. I´m not really sure if it was "Crystal Ball" or "The Ball" though. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I dont think so.
But somehow that brings me to a rather interesting idea (IMO that is): What about some live-album from Prince and his band with an orchestra, arranged and conducted by Clare Fisher? I mean, something like Metallica did with their X and Y album. Could be quite interesting, i think.

it was The Ball... pity the recording is ruined by a couple of Austrian guys talking German instead of listening to the music played... well at least they were present

I would love to hear him on a real, full grand piano backed by a small chamber orchetra on 'when doves cry'. That would be awesome. I think that would be the greates translation of the track to stage he could ever do.
