Streetside chatter, Andre Crabtree III, lovesexy

Has anyone noticed that theres some chatter thats repeated in at least 3 different albums, and it goes along the line of black people talking in a line and then a man saying "I want some of those sandwiches" and then a guy saying "My name is Andre Crabtree the Third and I have more holes than a golfcourse!!!!!)"
Its first heard on Lovesexy between Eye No and Alphabet Street, and reprises itself on Graffiti Vridge during Joy in Repetition and again on Rave to the Joy fantastic (I forgot the song, its a blur that album).
Does anyone know if its from an earlier song, or just an incidental sample/recording Prince made sometime in the 80s. It fascinates me and is there such a person called Andre Crabtree III or just a Prince construct (He comes across as a Morris Day type pimp

The segue was originally between 'The Ball' and 'Joy In Repetition' from Crystal Ball. Both tracks were eventually removed from the set when it was cut back to 2LPs and released as Sign O' The Times.

'The Ball' was later transformed into 'Eye No' on Lovesexy, and JIR was released on Graffiti Bridge, both instances the segue was kept for use with segue, for Alphabet St. and We Can Funk, respectively. smile

Edit: The chatter is Prince and the band btw, not a sample.

they are talking jive and have deepo voices that are bass like and very scarce amonst whites. If it was whites i would be surprised.

Cheers for the info NouveauDance, as I knew that eye no was reworked from the Crystal ball and Prince may have carried this stuff across with it
