Crystal Ball live?

Does anyone know if this song has ever been performed live? If so when and with who in the band?

Thank you.

He once performed it in Austria in either 1986 or 87. I´m not really sure if it was "Crystal Ball" or "The Ball" though.

I dont think so.

But somehow that brings me to a rather interesting idea (IMO that is):
What about some live-album from Prince and his band with an orchestra, arranged and conducted by Clare Fisher? I mean, something like Metallica did with their X and Y album.

Could be quite interesting, i think.

it was The Ball... pity the recording is ruined by a couple of Austrian guys talking German instead of listening to the music played... well at least they were present smile

I have dreamed of that for a long time. Moreso, a string section, perhaps a sextet. I would love to hear him on a real, full grand piano backed by a small chamber orchetra on 'when doves cry'. That would be awesome. I think that would be the greates translation of the track to stage he could ever do.
