I've always maintained that it sounded like a Gum Commercial. I remember these commercials from when I was a really little kid where a woman would be running through a field in a white dress whilst holding a GIGANTIC package of Wrigley's.. I can just see the commercial in my mind with the soundtrack playing:

Everybody's looking 4 Wrigley's Spearamint Gum!
a reason 2 believe in...Everybody's looking 4 love

falloff

That's so funny, I can picture it now, but the woman has Prince's stubble and Crystal Carrington haircut, man that song is a cheese factory!

Not among his worst, not among his best. It has a decent melody. Speaking of worst songs: "Da, da, da" on Emancipation comes to mind or "Poom Poom" on Crystal Ball.

I'd still rate 'GB' and 'Do You Lie' above 'Lemoncrush', though 'Ripopgodazippa' isn't much better...

like 'GB' better now because it sounds like 'The Ladder'
This is what it's like in the dream factory...

Not his worst from a compositional standpoint, but maybe the worst mistake he ever made, musically. At least nobody has ever heard Poom Poom, but this was the title song and the name of the movie. It's a complete disaster. And he obviously tried to make it good. GB is good, too, as a soundtrack, but thtis song is absolutely embarassing.

not a fan of the song (Graffiti Bridge) but dont hate it. I actually like the outtake version a little better, but I haven't listened to it in a while and couldnt tell you whats so different about it other than Prince more prominent on the vocals, less background vocals, slightly different lyrics.

As for Arms of Orion, I always liked it. I'm kinda surprised so many people hate it. I like "Courtin' Time" as well, but at least can understand why some people would dislike that song, it's kinda strange music style and all. Arms of Orion, though, I'm puzzled.

Still I say worst song honors goes to "CYBERSINGLE"

Ah it's not the best but it's definatly not the worst. That's a 3 way tie between

1. Sex In The Summer
2. Extrodinary
3. Do Me Baby

I always remember buying this album on vinyl 2 days before the official release date. I was with 2 friends who are both into Prince and we rushed back to my home so we could check out the album.

I can still remember our expressions and reactions to the Graffiti Bridge track:

Song starts, has a nice little jazzy intro followed by Eric Leed's Flute.... and then the cheese just started to flow like the water over Niagara!

Well, we all looked at each other in wide-eyed amazement! One friend grabbed the volume knob and turned it all the way down and at this point we all lost it and fell to the gorund in absoulte histerics!!!

Needless to say, I don't like this track one bit!
