darling nikki & kashmir

does anyone here, noticed how princes darling nikki and led zeppelins say song kashmir for example
sound a like, but then again alot of rock songs are influenced by leppelin
i'm talking about the music part of darling nikki and i don't mean no exact comparsion just a connection i hear. i mean this in a positive way. i find this very cool! cool i love how prince fuses or reinvents everything on the earth and under the sun, moon and stars together. something thats been on my mind for awhile. check it out listen to darling nikki and then kashmir

Actually...I think the part of Darling Nikki that is most "Kashmir-like" is the part that was omitted from the album version.

It's the drums and the groove in the riffs of both songs. kashmir's groove is just slower. I know P was and is a fan of Zepp.

I suppose you could say it has the beat/timing at the very beginning but it kinda stretching to say they are similar or sound alike, i doubt if most people would hear either independently and arrive at the same conclusion as Tamera1.

The feel of nikki is quite different at the start, in fact the more i digest both, the more i disagree. Darlingnikki is quite unique in its sound. I think when the first few bars open its very obvious what song has started and it cant really be confused with leds kashmir. So, apart from both have a poised slow intro I cant hear any other similarity.

In fact they are as similar to my ears as that old striptease tune de da da daa, de da da daah ..... and nikki, naaah, na, naaah na, naaah na naa.
