which version of the Bible is this? The World English Bible
(The World English Bible is a an update of the American Standard Version of 1901 into modern English.) I searched out the Bible in MP3 format and found the above. Took me 65 cds to put it in regular cd format...and 17 mini disc...and 2 MP3 discs. Did anyone ever realize just how big the Bible was? its real cool to listen to when ur going to bed.

How can there be different versions of the Bible? The only version to trust is the original. If you are Christian that is. --------------------

And which one would that be?
Do you know that you have the original? An original translated and re-translated by different people over the last 2000 years... I don't think there is a true original out there anymore, but the story remains the same. | |

The original Bible was a bunch of rolled up scrolls, written in Hebrew, Greek, and a small part in Aramaic. The Bible is available today in over 200 languages and dialects, Don't let the "different versions" bother you. If you take 10 different versions and compare them, you still have the BIBLE. I prefer the New World Translation and The Living Bible both in modern English. So...how's everybody doing?  | |
