I'm wondering if this line from Daddy Pop, "the jester's on the phone, aw yeah, Rosie? Tell him I aint home, just one in a long line that wanna see me." is a subtle shot at Michael Jackson. MJ was calling himself the king of pop, so it would make sense for prince to call him the jester, and then Michael had tried to work with Prince and Prince always turned him down, which would explain the phone part. At that point they were still pop's biggest rivals. I never thought about it before, but I was listening today, and it made sense.
