Even though I'd like to think prince visits the org and other fansites how likely is it? Get real people. I agree with everyone who said THENEWWATCHER is just too obvious although it'd be cool if it was him... oh what am i on about... jus would like prince to be here so i can tell him teletext jokes and talk about pineapples... wonder what fruit he'd like?

I am convinced that Prince has his own org account. He is known to be very interested how people talk about him. I know for a fact that he reads every newspaper article on him, discusses it with the band. No need to say that he doesnt like most of them.
It would be naive to believe that Prince would not care what the fan base says and thinks about him. Especially the fact that he likes to be mysterious and into the multiple personality idea is a stzrong indication that he regulary posts here. I don't doubt any of what you said soulpower, just its still hard to believe... it would be great to have spoke to him at some stage though without realising it...

What's in a name?
TheNewWatcher. If this is Prince: Why would he choose this name? What does it even mean? Well the Bible Prince would use would be TheNewWorldTranslation, kinda similar to TheNewWatcher. Well it's just a thought. As to what the name means? Your guess is as good as mine. Some of u say that if Prince was on here he wouldn't post in his Princely style? I honestly can't see any reason why he wouldn't. to me it seemed obvious at first when it was first mentioned, i'd never even heard of this orger, but reading his posts made me think maybe, but then the complete openess of it all made me think, nah. I heard a tale about someone who had everyone convinced that he was Prince. In fact he had a whole chat room full of people contemplating his identity. He once said that he was "ONE of Seven Watchers". He would speak in riddles and rhymes. Several people were convinced that it was Prince. You know my take on the New Watcher is that he is NOT Prince, but it could be someone from the Prince camp that's sole purpose is to "watch" the fan(m) base and report to Prince or someone close to Prince about what is being said. I think that with the World Tour going on, Prince definitely doesn't have time to sit and chat or puruse the org. But it's not unlikely that he has someone else doing so. I'm sure he wants feedback about the shows and such so that he knows where he needs to improve to make the shows more enlightening to those that attend or where the band needs to improve. I also believe that he wants to know what the fan(m)s think of the music club so that he can figure out which direction to take it next year. I do know that someone from the Prince camp reads the org because last year there was a post on Paisley News that mentioned a couple of orgers by name. I believe Fuscia and someone else. I think you overestimate the stardom of Prince. He certainly does not have a whole camp of people who are being paid to monitor the internet for him. I think that with the World Tour going on, Prince definitely doesn't have time to sit and chat or puruse the org. But it's not unlikely that he has someone else doing so. Well, theNewwatcher rarely posts. And he never posted when Prince was on stage or on the road. If someone is TRYING to fake Prince here, he's doing a damn good job in even checking when Prince has time to post. Well this individual that I heard about also rarely posted and seemed to be in the know about certain things. He too made sure to keep track of when Prince was performing etc, and never contradicted those times. But he still was not Prince. I have no desire to "bug" this person whatsoever. I do not think that he is Prince and even if he were, I have no desire to bug him. As for making him feel at home, I would treat this person the same as I would anyone else. As for TheNewWatcher, I can't say for certain that it is or is not Prince. But I can say for certain that it doesn't matter one way or another to me. And it shouldn't matter to anyone else either. I mean let Prince be whoever he wants to be. Let him be who he is. I'm sure that TheNewWatcher has been inundated with posts asking if he were the one. If he was actually Prince and everyone just started orging him out of curiousity, I'm sure he wouldn't answer and say if he were directly. It is true that Prince visits sites and that he posts here...the beauty of the mystery is that he is anonymous...I like it that way, for if everyone knew who he was, I'm sure some obsessive fan (I won't name names) would bore him to death with their sexual overtones...

This is a story told before on this site so for those who have seen it before forgive me...
In the Spring/Summer or 2001 a poster called Rainbow Child started posting.Several of the old orgers would respond to the crypic messages. The posts would contain lyrics from the then unreleased TRC & spritual questions.These posts would always occur in the early morning hours. To those who state that Prince is on tour and would'nt have time to do this ,he was also on tour during this time.I asked if the tour would come to Nashville,Tn and responded by saying ..."No,but if I could get Al Green to come up from Memphis he would think about it." I really think it was Prince.Several statements/lyrics regarding the TRC album were very accurate. |

I have been informed from a very good source that THENEWWATCHER is in fact Prince.
Put it this way, there are more chances it is him, than not so. I have conversed with him on a few occassions and I have no reason to believe it is not him.
